In March Henny and Marian van Dieijen from Ouddorp contacted Alertis to say they were in the prossession of a bear painting. For years this canvas had been hanging in their restaurant, "Old Village" in Ouddorp. They wanted to give the painting to Alertis. This gesture was highly appreciated, and a meeting was set up for the delivery. On Thursdah April 12 Henny and Marian visited Ouwehands Dierenpark Rhenen, and here the painting was received by José Kok, Alertis director.

The bear painting was made by Michael Weston, a country and western artist who is also wellknown as a painter. During a "Western Experience" several years ago the painting was bought by Henny and Marian. At the time the proceeds were donated to The Bear Forest. Now the painting has been given to Alertis. Alertis thanks both benefactors for the beautiful painting!
